Heading To The Lake Or Ocean This Summer

  • Swimming in an open body of water (river, lake or ocean) is different from a pool.

  • Don't let kids swim without close adult supervision.

  • Lakes or ponds might be shallow near the bank but get deep quickly away from shore.

  • Be aware of hidden hazards like limited visibility, depth, distances and drop-offs, currents and tides.

  • Always swim in designated areas.

Open water becomes deep quick, ALWAYS watch your kids in the water!
